For the fourth year in a row, Harvard China Care volunteers ran the Boston Marathon for orphans in China! This year the race took place on April 16, 2007! See how our runners did in this year's marathon.

Our runners fundraised for all of HCC's projects this year. They have already raised nearly $8000 for orphanage funding, surgery funding, foster program sponsorship, and more. However, we are still short of our $10,000 goal for Boston Marathon 2007! It is not too late to still donate! Please help us reach our fundraising goal. Sponsor our runners today!

The Boston Marathon tradition began with Gary Cooney, our founding president, who ran the race alone for a special boy he met in Tianjin. The $2000 he received in donations made it possible for his good friend Tan to find a home in the US with a warm and loving family. Since then, the Boston Marathon has been a staple of HCC's fundraising projects.

Last year, our four runners raised more than $11,000 for the Saiqi Orphanage, and in 2005, our volunteer succeeded in raising $15,000.

With the aid of each and one of you, the lives of children in China are being brightened everyday!
