Welcome to the homepage of the Harvard Chado Society, an organization on campus dedicated to learning the Japanese tea ceremony, also known as the Way of Tea. A ceremony steeped in tradition, the Japanese tea ceremony requires grace, humility, and tranquility, and imparts on both long-term tea students and new visitors alike a sense of serenity.
If you have any questions about our organization, please feel free to explore our website, consult our About page, or email one of our organization leaders by visiting the Contact page. We welcome anyone who wants to participate in the tea ceremony, and we do not limit our membership to only undergraduate students, or even to only Harvard students.
If you are interested in commissioning a demonstration for your group, please contact us. We can host demonstrations in the Harvard Tearoom or at your group’s meeting site, and are committed to fitting your group’s schedule and budget.
