March 14, 2009 - North East All-Stars Competition - Beverly High School, Beverly, MA 1st Place - College Co-Ed Division April 5, 2009 - CCS Easter Classic - Leominster High School, Leominster, MA 1st Place - College Co-Ed Division April 8-11, 2009 - NCA National College Championships - Daytona Beach, FL 7th Place - Division 1 Co-Ed, 3rd Place Challenge Cup ________________________________________________________________________________________ Go to Videos page to see our 2009 NCA National Bid Tape and competition routines! ______________________________________________________________________________ 2009 Competition News The Harvard Cheerleaders capped off an amazing competition season with a seventh place finish at the 2009 NCA Collegiate National Cheerleading Championships! This was the first time Harvard Cheerleading entered the National competition and we had tons of compliments about our debut! 220 other College cheer and dance teams participated in the event and we are proud to say that our presence there did not go unnoticed. As one of the first IVY League team's to be represented at this event, we showed that we can balance the rigors of an IVY league education with the skill required to compete at this level. The team is eager to get the 2009-2010 season underway and plans to return to Daytona, FL next April to improve upon this debut performance! Competition is an exciting time for Harvard Cheerleading to showcase its skills away from the sports arena, but it does bring additional costs that the university does not support. ATTENTION FRIENDS, FAMILY AND ALUMNI! The 2nd Annual Friends, Family and Alumni game has been confirmed for Saturday October 17, 2009. The event will start at 11:00 at Gordon Indoor Track. The event will include a catered meet and greet with the current squad, a chance to watch the cheerleaders perform at the tailgate, and all alumni cheerleaders will be invited to join the current squad on the sidelines for the game! We hope to have an even better turnout then last year, so please mark your calendars!
