Coffee Cup, A team There is no way that I can come close to topping this. I will give a brief summary though. A few of us go down on Friday night and crash in Silliman. We bring 90 Stones with us which we imbibe with our hosts. Silliman is hosting a white trash-themed party. Pi enters the costume contests but, tragically loses. Saturday rolls around and Will Chen is still drunk from the night before from celebrating his 21st birthday. The rest of the team rolls in. It's cold, rainy, wet. We warm up for Yale, who we think might be ok after watching them smack Fordham around. We run off a bunch of D points and win. 13-3? Somethin like that. Fordham next, we lose some energy and trade points for a while. Then we pull away. Then NYU, filled with a bunch of asian kids from Stuy that were taught to play by Chuck and Will. Luckily, anticipating this huge matchup will and chuck decided not to teach them how to play particularly well. 13-1? Roger Williams was the 2 seed in the pool, we had them last. That kid Teddy on their team is good and keeps them in it for a while. We take half 7-5 or 7-6 and then pull away with our depth. We win 13-something. Dinner at that pizza/pasta place. Some Playboy-reading and a game of Chugging Beers in the corner beforehand. There was one table of cool people and one table of lame people. Back to Silliman and we hear that the tournament is done, fields are shot. Loser people head back to Cambridge. Cooler folk decide to stay in New Haven to have a night on the town and celebrate Will Chen's birthday (the three captains, Chris M, and Gabe who is at home which is also kind of lame). Chen and I play beirut against the Bizarro Games Duo. It's this asian kid and this white kid that are exactly the same as me and Will, I'd say. They beat us because of some weird Bizarro-world rules. After the game Bizarro-Will notes how similar they are to each other, unprompted by us. It's really crazy when worlds collide. Will Chen starts to turn very red at this point. I challenge Will to a 1-on-1 game and beat him quickly, although he gives me a scare by hitting like 3/5 on the rebuttal. Will tells me how drunk he is for the first time of the night. Will gets hit on by this outgoing Yale freshman chick while I play some more Beirut. Since my partner had a concussion she couldn't drink so I passed as many cups as I could onto Will, most of which he rejected. Freshman chick totally wants Will and we tell her that we will meet her at Toads. World Series game ends and we head out to Toads, a fine New Haven establishment. We get a drink for the road and have it in the Silliman entranceway. Will Chen is roughly the color of the Red Line '03 jerseys. Toads is ridiculous and we don't quite know what to make of it. We keep encouraging Will to grind with some of the skanky girls there but he is hesitant. I am unable to find my friend that I was supposed to meet there so I buy us shots of SoCo and we head off to meet up with some Yale Ultimate dudes who want to hang out with drunken Will Chen. Chen does not disappoint. We meet them at a chinese place (after a couple appetizers) and head back to some house. Will and I dominate them in beirut and then I accept there challenge for a 2on2 boatrace. Will, at this point, is passed out on the couch. I wake him up with some motivational words and we decide to relocate the boatrace to near the bathroom since Will is about to vomit. Will dispenses of Max by about 1/4 of a cup and I finish the job, taking Jordan to give Harvard the easy victory and the tournament championships. Will goes and vomits, getting some of it in the toilet. Back to Toads briefly from there which is still ridiculous. Then to Silliman where we pass out, Chen matching the red futon he sleeps on. We find Chris the next morning who had had some adventures, and head back to Cambridge on what would have been a beautiful day for an ultimate tournament. See you all at practice on Tuesday Jack
