| In 2003 and 2004 HUFE made its annual appearance at the Leverett Coffeehouse and starred in its own concert in the Dunster House Library with the Mather House Chamber Quintet. Pachelbel’s Canon as well as HUFE member Matthew Tobey’s (‘07) swinging arrangement of Jingle Bells are notable favorites from the fall season. The group also opened the Harvard Wind Ensemble’s March 13th concert, “Eurotrip: a journey through European music in place and time” which featured snapshots of art and culture during the performance to illustrate the society and times of the works. The Flute Ensemble revisited Faure’s Pavane and turn of the century Paris for this unique performance. HUFE’s ARTS First concert impressed the large crowd inside Memorial Church with a solo spectacular. Many members in the ensemble were able to play a solo as the group performed Teleman’s Suite in A Minor and Gluck’s Dance of the Blessed Spirit. |
