Our Community
Franklin I-O serves North Dorchester, with a focus on developing the resources of the Franklin Hill and Field Housing Developments. The Franklin Hill and Franklin Field neighborhoods have important strengths but simultaneously face deep and complex challenges. Members of these communities live amidst high levels of crime, gang activity, drug and alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy, single-parent households, low high school retention rates, and a general lack and fragmentation of social and educational services.
