Quote of the week...

"Every source of power that we use today started with the power of human invention, and those sources have served us well for decades... I urge Congress to work out its differences and pass an energy bill that will help make America safer and more prosperous for the years to come."

- President Bush, in his weekly radio address on Saturday.

Bush speaks about the Middle East peace process as Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon listens at left during a joint news conference following their talks at Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, Monday, Aprill 11, 2005. Both leaders sounded pessimistic about near-term prospects for peace but Bush praised Sharon's "courageous initiative to disengage from Gaza and part of the West Bank" and urged Palestinian leaders to accept the prime minister's offer to coordinate a withdrawal that will remove about 9,000 Israelis from their homes.
