I. Social Security Debate with Harvard Democrats - Wednesday! - Come cheer on HRC debaters Josh Barro and Mark Shepard as they make the case for Social Security reform this Wednesday! Debate is in Science Center B-10 at 7:30. B-10 is in the basement, you can use the steps next to the Greenhouse Cafe. Questions will be taken from the audience.

II. Campus Social Security Campaign - Meeting Tuesday! - Now that we've hit the campus with flyers, it's time to plan phase two of the HRC campaign for Social Security reform. Next meeting is this Tuesday (today) at 5:00 in the Kirkland Dining Hall over dinner. Come with all of your ideas. Contact Stephen Dewey with questions (sdewey@fas).

III. Ken Mehlman at the IOP - Thursday! - RNC Chair and Bush-Cheney '04 Chair Ken Mehlman is back at the IOP yet again this Thursday, for Ron Fournier's study group from 4 to 5:30 in the First Floor Conference Room. This week's topic is "From the White House to Hemler's House: How the GOP nailed GOTV," and also includes an appearance by Laura Hemler, co-chair of Bush-Cheney's Hennepin County, Minn. operations.

IV. RSEP/Policy Study Break - Thursday! - Come to this Thursday's study break at 9:00 in the Eliot JCR, for a casual discussion on the death tax! Free food and drink as usual.

V. Careers in Intelligence and the CIA - Thursday! - This Thursday at 3 at the IOP there will be a special event with Pat Murray, Chief of Staff to DCI Porter Goss. Mr. Murray will be speaking with HRC members about careers in intelligence and the CIA. The event will be immediately followed by the usual weekly study group with Tom Newcomb, at which Mr. Murray will discuss Intelligence Reform and the CIA. Contact Matthew (mdowner@fas) for details.

VI. Governor Romney's Birthday - March 24th! - It's that time of year again! Governor Romney's birthday party will be held on Thursday, March 24th in the Copley Plaza Hotel downtown, and you're invited! HRC members can get in for free ($100 value), so long as you RSVP to Matthew (mdowner@fas) stating that you will show up between 4:30 and 5 in business attire prepared to do a modest amount of help with setup. The reception and celebration begin around 5:30, and of course you can stay for that. The party has been fantastic in years past, so do come! You can view the invitation at http://www.harvardgop.org/Documents/GovBirthday.pdf.

VII. HPU Thursday - Drug Legalization - HPU's topic of the week is the legalization of drugs, with special guests Dr. John Halpern and Dr. Rick Doblin, both well-known advocates of drug legalization. Come debate your fellow students at 6:00 on Thursday in the IOP First Floor Conference Room. Contact Vivek (ramasw@fas) with questions.

VIII. Become a House Rep - We are still looking for volunteers in a few houses to be House Reps. You will be responsible for finding Republicans in your House and getting them to come to social events and General Meetings. You will get a budget to throw mini-events every semester. We still need House Reps in Dunster, Kirkland, Leverett, Lowell and Pfoho. Let John (souther@fas) know if you are interested.
