Quote of the week...

"Proponents of a women’s center need a collective reality check. There is limited space available on campus, and undergraduates have limited political capital in claiming portions of it. Building a women’s center means displacing worthier endeavors. And acquiescing to a separate women’s center will, sadly, be treated by the administration as an amelioration of the demand for a larger student center."

- The Harvard Crimson, in its editorial published Monday opposing the proposal to create a "Women's Center" on campus. You can read the entire editorial here: http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=508593

Last week was relatively uneventful in Washington, but that doesn't mean that there aren't things you can do as an activist right now. While you have the luxury of time, we'd encourage you to personally register to vote in your state, and to convince your parents and siblings to do the same. You can complete this process at http://www.gop.com/RegisterToVote/default.aspx . It's better to do so now, so that you can spend the 2006 election cycle working on campaigns!
