I. Conservative
Women's Conference - Friday and Saturday -
The Conservative Women's Caucus is proud to present "Right
Here, Right Now: A Conservative Women's Conference." This
is Harvard's first such conference. Panel topics include: Sex,
Lies and Feminism; Balancing Family and Public Service;
and Women and Foreign Policies. We're extremely
excited about this unprecedented conference and encourage
all of you to attend as much of it as possible. See a

II.
HRC Trip to DC - Filling Up Fast -
In only three weeks, HRC will take our first-ever clubwide
trip to Washington, D.C.! Our itinerary will include time
for meeting with important players in the GOP and
Washington politics, sightseeing and socializing. We will
leave in the early morning of the 3rd and get back at
night on the 5th. There are only a few seats still
available, and we can only reserve one for you if you pay
the non-refundable $50 deposit (cash or check). To do
so, contact Stephen Dewey (sdewey@fas).
III.
HRC Study Break Wednesday - HRC's next study
break is this Wednesday at 8 PM in the Eliot JCR (through
the Eliot House dining hall, at the end of the hallway).
We will be discussing the Miers nomination. Bring your
opinions. Also bring your sweet tooth because free
Finale's dessert will be served. This is an RSEP/Policy

Ken Mehlman at the IOP Today - RNC Chairman and
BC '04 Campaign Manager Ken Mehlman will visit
Ben Ginsberg's study group at the IOP today (Tuesday). The
event runs from 4 to 5:30 and is in room L-166 at the
Institute of Politics. The focus of the study group will
be on the 2000 and 2002 elections.

Congratulations to Josh Downer! - Congratulations
to Josh Downer, who was elected HRC's next Freshman
Member-at-Large at Wednesday's board meeting. Thanks
to everybody who ran, and we hope all of you will stay
active in HRC. If you have questions, comments or

Activism Division - This week, the activism
division is helping with publicity for the women's
conference. We are flyering and postering. To volunteer,
contact John Wilson (jwilson@fas).

VII.
Gaylord Study Group - Wednesdays - Joe Gaylord,
the author of the Contract with America and the 1994
campaign manager of the year, will be leading a study
group at the IOP every Wednesday at 4:00pm. He will be
discussing how to win campaigns in the 21st century from
both a candidate and a strategist perspective. We
encourage you all to participate.
VIII. Buy a T-Shirt - You can buy an HRC
T-shirt for $10 by emailing John Souther at souther@fas.harvard.edu to
arrange for payment and shipping/pickup.
IX. Pay Dues - If you haven't paid
your $5 dues for the year yet, you can do so by mailing it
with your name and email address to Meghan Grizzle, 195
Leverett Mail Center, Cambridge, MA 02138. Paying dues
gets you a membership card, priority in our events and
other benefits.
