I. MACR Convention - Saturday - Sign up to represent HRC as an official delegate at this weekend’s Massachusetts Alliance of College Republicans Annual Convention! This is your chance to vote in MACR officer elections and support our own Mike Miltenberger, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible!  The event will take place this Saturday, April 8, at Boston's Marriott Longwharf hotel. We will be meeting to leave Harvard together at 8:30am and will return no later than 5:00pm. The cost of attendance is $5. To RSVP, e-mail Jeff at jkwong@fas.

II. Board Meeting - Wednesday - Come to our general board meeting this Wednesday, April 5, at 10pm in the Leverett JCR. Feel free to come even if you're not on the general board. We will not be meeting at the John Harvard statue this week. Questions? Contact Stephen (sdewey@fas).

III. Join the HRC Softball Team! - Calling all ball-players! HRC will be forming a softball team to play a game against the Crimson this spring, and this is your chance to join the action and crush the Crimson! Players of all levels and abilities are welcome, and feel free to recruit your other Republican baseball player friends as well. Exact game date and time TBA, but in the meantime, e-mail Ted (tskowron@fas) as soon as possible if you’re interested in playing for HRC.

IV. Join the Conservative Book Club! - Throughout April, the conservative book club will be reading Manliness by Harvard's own Harvey Mansfield. We are also in the process of planning a catered dinner discussion with Professor Mansfield himself. V. HRC Texas Night BBQ - April 29^th - Join your fellow Republicans on Saturday, April 29, for a night of ribs, brisket, burgers, hot dogs, and poker! Following a barbecue at the bridge behind Leverett House, we will have a No-Limit Texas Hold-Em Tournament. There will be a $100 cash prize for first place. The cost for the entire event is $20. If you are interested in coming, please contact John at souther@fas.

VI. Felzenberg Study Group - Tuesday - From 2-3:30pm this Tuesday, April 4 (note the special date and time), Dr. Al Felzenberg will be conducting a seminar on bipartisanship and the 9/11 Commission with former New Jersey Governor and Chairman of the 9/11 Commission Thomas Kean. This seminar will take place in the first floor conference room at the IOP.

VII. The Revival of Conservatism Talk by Ed Vaizey - Tuesday -  The Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies presents “The Revival of Conservatism and the Future of British Politics,” with special guest speaker Edward Vaizey. Mr. Vaizey is a writer and commentator who worked as speechwriter for Michael Howard, Leader of the Opposition, in 2004, before his election to the British Parliament as a Conservative in 2005. The event will be held from 4:15-6:00pm this Tuesday, April 4, in the Cabot Room at CES, Busch Hall, 27 Kirkland Street.

VIII. Job Opportunities in Governor Romney's Office - The Office of the Governor has several full-time paid entry-level employment opportunities, including a Constituent Services Aide and Correspondence Aide, for current college seniors interested in serving in the Administration. IX. Buy a T-Shirt - You can buy an HRC T-shirt for $10 by emailing Mark Shepard at mshepard@fas.harvard.edu to arrange for payment and shipping/pickup.

X. Pay Dues - If you haven't paid your $5 dues for the year yet, you can do so by mailing it with your name and email address to Jeffrey Kwong, 1774 Harvard Yard Mail Center, Cambridge, MA 02138. Paying dues gets you a membership card, priority in our events, and other benefits.
