Hello, fellow Republicans! Check out the exciting HRC events coming up this week:

I. RNC vs. DNC Debate - Monday - At 6 PM this Monday, October 23, Ed Gillespie (RNC Chairman, 2003-2005) will take on Terry McAuliffe (DNC Chairman, 2001-2005) in a debate about what's at stake in the upcoming 2006 elections. The debate will take place in the IOP Forum. HRC has a few reserved seats left for the forum, so if you'd like one, e-mail John (souther@fas) ASAP.

II. General Board Meeting and Phone Banking for Schwarzenegger - Wednesday - Join your fellow Harvard Republicans to phone bank for Arnold Schwarzenegger this Wednesday at 9 PM in the Leverett Private Dining Room, and then stay for our general board meeting at 10 PM in Leverett JCR. Be sure to bring your cell phones! Pizza will be provided at 9 PM, so come early! All are welcome! We'll be discussing and voting on final HRC Constitutional revisions at this week's meeting. III. HRC vs. Dems Midterm Elections Debate - Thursday - Come support HRC in a debate against the Dems this Thursday at 8 PM in Harvard Hall 202. Special guests include Governor Jeanne Shaheen, Director of the IOP, and IOP Fellows Baroness Falkner of Margravine, George Moose, Christina Martin, Karin Hicks, and Jim Flug. IV. Campaign for Kerry Healey - Saturday - HRC will join College Republicans from across the state on a Saturday trip to Cape Cod to campaign for Massachusetts Republican gubernatorial candidate and Harvard graduate Kerry Healey, as well as a local state house race. We'll be meeting at 9:25 AM outside the Harvard Square T stop to head to the Healey campaign headquarters together. Contact Caleb (weatherl@fas) to sign up or with questions.

V. Christina Martin Study Group - Thursday - Join Christina Martin, former Press Secretary to Newt Gingrich and former member of President George H.W. Bush's administration, for her study group this week at the IOP! The study group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 4-5:30 PM in IOP room L-166. VI. Dinesh D'Souza Event - November 2 - On Thursday, November 2, Dinesh D'Souza, former Reagan Policy Advisor and current Hoover Institution Fellow and best-selling author, will be speaking at Harvard on "why America is loved" and "why America is hated." Don't miss this opportunity to hear one of America's most influential conservative voices! The event will take place at 8 PM in Harvard Hall 201.

VII. Election Night Party - November 7 - On the evening of Tuesday, November 7, HRC will be holding an election night party in the IOP Forum. Join your fellow HRC members for pizza and refreshments as election results come in on Fox News! More details to come.

VIII. Pay Dues - To become a dues-paid member of the Harvard Republican Club, send a check for $5 made out to "Harvard Republican Club" via University Mail to Jeffrey Kwong, Winthrop Mail Center 264. Be sure to include your name and e-mail address in the envelope. Paying dues gets you a membership card, priority in our events, the right to vote in our elections, and other benefits.
