Hello, fellow Republicans!  It's HRC election week, so be sure to check out all of the exciting HRC activities!

 

I.  Climate Change Debate - Tuesday - Come support your fellow Republicans this Tuesday as HRC takes on the Dems in a debate on proposed policies to address climate change.  From a gas tax and independence from foreign oil to enforcement of pollution regulations and alternative energy sources, this debate is sure to bring new policy perspectives to light!  The event will take place at 8 PM in Emerson 305.  Questions?  Contact Daren (stanaway@fas).

 

II.  Governor Pataki Forum - Tuesday - As New York State's first Republican chief executive, Governor George Pataki has shown that strong leadership and commitment to core principles can position the Empire State to lead America well into the 21st century.  At 6 PM this Tuesday, Governor Pataki will speak in the IOP Forum.  You won't want to miss it! 

 

III.  HRC Executive Board Elections - Wednesday - On Wednesday, November 15, HRC will be holding Executive Board elections.  The board positions and their descriptions can be found at http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/gop/constitution.html.  Remember, to vote and/or run in the election, you need to have paid your dues for this year and will need to have attended two General Board meetings in the past calendar year by the time of the election.  If you are unsure of whether you have paid your dues, please contact Jeff Kwong (jkwong@fas).  If you are unsure of how many board meetings you have attended, please contact Daren (stanaway@fas).  If you have any other questions about elections procedures, please contact Meghan (mgrizzle@fas).

 

IV.  Christina Martin Study Group - Thursday - Join Christina Martin, former Press Secretary to Newt Gingrich and former member of President George H.W. Bush's administration, for her study group this week at the IOP!  The study group meets weekly on Thursdays from 4-5:30 PM in IOP room L-166.  Contact Caleb (weatherl@fas) or Christine (mikolaj@fas) with questions.

 

V.  Pay Dues - To become a dues-paid member of the Harvard Republican Club, send a check for $5 made out to "Harvard Republican Club" via University Mail to Jeffrey Kwong, Winthrop Mail Center 264.  Be sure to include your name and e-mail address in the envelope.  Paying dues gets you a membership card, priority in our events, and other benefits.
