I. CPAC Trip to DC  - Interested in interacting with conservative students from around the country? Anxious to be at the center of American politics in Washington, D.C.? Want to meet conservative luminaries like Ann Coulter and Newt Gingrich? Then join the HRC at CPAC , the largest gathering of conservative political activists in the country. With an HRC subsidy, you will pay only $195 for the entire trip, including airfare, hotel accommodations, and conference registration. We leave on February 28 and return on March 3. If you have serious financial difficulties, we may be able to offer you additional assistance. II. Lincoln Day Dinner 2007 - Don't miss the Harvard Republican Club's fifth annual Lincoln Day Dinner on February 22, 2006 at 6:00 PM in Elliot House Dining Hall. The key note address will be given by Star Parker. Ms. Parker, a regular commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, is the founder of CURE, a non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in inner-city neighborhoods. III. Conservative Women's Caucus (CWC) - Conservative Women's Conference, Saturday, February 24--Join fellow conservative women from Harvard and college campuses throughout the state to hear from journalists, policy experts, politicians, and other public servants at our Second Annual Conservative Women's Conference!  More details to come.  Please contact Meghan Grizzle at mgrizzle@fas.harvard.edu for more information or if you are interested in helping out.

 

IV. Women's Initiative in Leadership at the IOP - The Institute of Politics (IOP) is proud to announce the Women's Initiative in Leadership (WIL) spring 2007 program.  Application and schedule information can be found at this link:http://www. iop .harvard.edu /students_wil_about.html. The Institute of Politics' Women's Initiative in Leadership (WIL) was created to address the interest and importance of female students at Harvard in developing leadership skills. The program strives to explore and understand leadership through seminars and interactive workshops over the course of a semester.
Candidates for the Women's Initiative in Leadership must be currently enrolled at Harvard College. Applications are open to all undergraduate women; however, space is limited. If you are unable to participate this spring, we strongly encourage you to reapply in the fall.

V. Join the McCain Campaign - Although at this time the Harvard Republican Club is not supporting any candidate in the Republican primary for President, we will advertise internship opportunities. Sen. John McCain's exploratory committee is seeking Individuals interested in interning. If interested, please contact jkwong@fas.harvard.edu.

 

VI. Buy a T-Shirt - You can buy an HRC T-shirt for $10 by emailing Treasurer Mark Shepard, at mshepard@fas.harvard.edu to arrange for payment and shipping/pickup.

 

VII. Pay Dues - If you haven't paid your $5 dues for the year yet, you can do so by mailing it with your name and email address to Membership and Publicity Director Christopher Higgins, 1626 Harvard Yard Mail Center, or email him at chiggins@fas.harvard.edu.  Be sure to include your name and e-mail address in the envelope.  Paying dues gets you a membership card, priority in our events, and an endless array of sundry benefits.
