I. General Board Meeting - Next Wednesday - Join your fellow Harvard Republicans for the first General Board Meeting of 2007, and the new semester!  The meeting will be held next Wednesday, 7 February 2007, at 9 PM in Leverett House JCR.  Pizza will be provided!  All are welcome!  Questions?  Contact President Jeffrey Kwong at jkwong@fas.harvard.edu.

II. Lincoln Day Dinner 2007 - Don't miss the Harvard Republican Club's fifth annual Lincoln Day Dinner on February 22, 2006 at 6:00 PM in Elliot House Dining Hall. The key note address will be given by Star Parker. Ms. Parker, a regular commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, is the founder of CURE, a non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in inner-city neighborhoods. Please RSVP at http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/gop // ldd .html . If you have questions, please contact Vice President of Spekers and Political Discourse Caleb Weatherl at weatherl@fas.harvard.edu.

III. Conservative Women's Caucus (CWC) - Saturday, February 24 - Join fellow conservative women from Harvard and college campuses throughout the state to hear from journalists, policy experts, politicians, and other public servants at our Second Annual Conservative Women's Conference!  More details to come.  Please contact Meghan Grizzle at mgrizzle@fas.harvard.edu for more information or if you are interested in helping out.

IV. 2nd Annual Bipartisan Paintball Brawl - Enlistment has already begun for the Second Annual Bipartisan Paintball Brawl! The Harvard College Democrats are coming out strong after last year's humiliating defeat, and we need 36 brave men and women to defend our title and our honor. The tournament will be one of the largest and most popular social events of the year - certainly the most enjoyable. (Can you think of anything better than shooting paintballs at Democrats?). The "brawl" (or, as in last year, the "annihilation") will be held at Boston Paintball on Thursday, February 8th from 6-10pm. The cost is $31 and includes EVERYTHING - rental gun, goggles, and face protection, 500 paintballs, two-way shuttle transportation, dinner, and a custom tournament t-shirt. For more information and to register/pay for the tournament, go to http://www.paintballbrawl.com/. We can only take 36 Republicans, and we fully expect to fill up in 48 hours or less, so don't delay! We hope you join us in this epic war - one that the Democrats actually support!  Email Vice President of Social Events Zachary Smith with any questions at zsmith@fas.harvard.edu.

V. Apply to be an IOP Liaison! - Deadline this Friday! - Apply to be a liaison to one of the IOP six new resident fellows for the Spring term. This semester's class of fellows includes two former Republican women officeholders (and Harvard/Radcliffe graduates!), Massachusetts Lt. Gov Kerry Healey, defeated for Governor by flash-in-the-pan Deval Patrick , and Connecticut Congressman Nancy L. Johnson (Congressional district 5 - New Britain), who lost her bid for a 12th term last year. Applications can be found at http://www.iop.harvard.edu /pdfs/2007_liaison.doc and must be e-mailed to
both akim@fas.harvard.edu , emschoen@fas.harvard.edu by 8:00 PM on this FRIDAY, 2 FEBRUARY 2007.

VI. Join the Romney Campaign - Although at this time the Harvard Republican Club is not supporting any candidate in the Republican primary for President, we will advertise internship opportunities. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romeny's exploratory committee is seeking Individuals interested in interning. If interested, please contact President Jeffrey Kwong at jkwong@fas.harvard.edu.

VII. Join the Romney Campaign - Professor of Sociology Chris Winship and David Luberoff, Executive Director of the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston, will be offering an exciting new course at the Kennedy School this semester. The course uses Boston to provide an overview of key urban issues -- most notably how economic and social forces are mediated through the political process. The class will feature guest lectures with political, civic, and community leaders allows students spend time in places they are studying. Please contact President Jeffrey Kwong for more information at jkwong@fas.harvard.edu.

VII. Buy a T-Shirt - You can buy an HRC T-shirt for $10 by emailing Treasurer Mark Shepard, at mshepard@fas.harvard.edu to arrange for payment and shipping/pickup.

IX. Pay Dues - If you haven't paid your $5 dues for the year yet, you can do so by mailing it with your name and email address to Membership and Publicity Director Christopher Higgins, 1626 Harvard Yard Mail Center, or email him at chiggins@fas.harvard.edu.  Be sure to include your name and e-mail address in the envelope.  Paying dues gets you a membership card, priority in our events, and an endless array of sundry benefits.
