I. General Board Meeting - Wednesday - Join your fellow Harvard Republicans for the first General Board Meeting of 2007, and the new semester!  The meeting will be held next Wednesday, 7 February 2007, at 9 PM in Leverett House PRIVATE DINING ROOM.  Pizza will be provided!  All are welcome!  Questions?  Contact President Jeffrey Kwong at jkwong@fas.harvard.edu.

II. Lincoln Day Dinner 2007 - Don't miss the Harvard Republican Club's fifth annual Lincoln Day Dinner on February 22, 2006 at 6:00 PM in Eliot House Dining Hall. The key note address will be given by Star Parker. Ms. Parker, a regular commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, is the founder of CURE, a non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in inner-city neighborhoods. Please RSVP at http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/gop // ldd .html . If you have questions, please contact Vice President of Spekers and Political Discourse Caleb Weatherl at weatherl@fas.harvard.edu.

III. Conservative Women's Caucus (CWC) - Saturday, February 24 - Join fellow
conservative women from Harvard and college campuses throughout the state to hear from Kathryn Lopez (Editor of the National Review Online) and Charmaine Yoest (VP of Communications for the Family Research Council).  The conference will also feature a panel on balancing family and a career in politics, in addition to lunch roundtables on women in academia, women in the military, women in state government, and "pro-life and pro-woman."  Stay tuned for more information.  In the meantime, please contact Meghan Grizzle at mgrizzle@fas.harvard.edu if you have any questions or are interested in helping out.

IV. Harvard Political Union - Come down to the IOP on Thursday at 5 p.m. (and stay for the IOP Open House, following immediately after, at 6 p.m.) for the first Harvard Political Union (HPU) dinner-discussion. We will be debating "IRAQ STRATEGY: WILL MORE TROOPS DO THE JOB?". All undergraduates welcome. FREE pizza and soda will be served. Please contact Christopher Lacaria, clacaria@fas.harvard.edu, for more information.

V. HRC Community Outreach - Join our Community Outreach Team as the HRC works to increase our community service work and outreach to our diverse Harvard community. For more information, contact Dara Johnson or Carolyn Puente at ojohnson@fas.harvard.edu and ctpuente@fas.harvard.edu.

VI. Write for the Salient! - Interested in contributing your opinions to the campus conversation so often dominated by the Left? The Harvard Salient, the college's most pretigious journal of political opinion, continuously solicits submissions for articles, editorials, and art. There are also ample opportunities in the Salient Business Office, for those more interested in the financial aspect of conservative activism. For more information on how you can get involved, please contact Ryan McCaffrey, rmccaffr@fas.harvard.edu.

VII. Buy a T-Shirt - You can buy an HRC T-shirt for $10 by emailing Treasurer Mark Shepard, at mshepard@fas.harvard.edu to arrange for payment and shipping/pickup.

VIII. Pay Dues - If you haven't paid your $5 dues for the year yet, you can do so by mailing it with your name and email address to Membership and Publicity Director Christopher Higgins, 1626 Harvard Yard Mail Center, or email him at chiggins@fas.harvard.edu.  Be sure to include your name and e-mail address in the envelope.  Paying dues gets you a membership card, priority in our events, and an endless array of sundry benefits.
