Students for Huckabee will meet over dinner on Thursday evening to discuss this Saturday's campaign trip to the Huckabee NH headquarters, as well as opportunities for campus activism. In particular, we will schedule and coordinate a Mike Huckabee information desk session in front of the Science Center, which will hand out campaign materials to passers-by. We will also discuss other ways to distribute campaign literature on campus and to in general promote Huckabee's message. All are welcome to learn more about supporting the current GOP front-runner and the candidate who will lead us to Victory '08. Contact Andrew Schlafly at schlafly@fas.harvard.edu with questions or concerns. IV. Affirmative Action Debate- Thursday Please join the Association of Black Harvard Women, the Harvard Democrats, and the Harvard Republicans for a thought-provoking debate on Affirmative Action. Where: The Fong Auditorium When: Thursday, December 13th 2007 Time: 8:00 PM We are joined by Shanta Driver, national chair of the Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration, and Immigrants' Rights & Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) and Richard Sander, a UCLA law professor, economist, and Harvard alumnus. Ms. Driver is a civil rights lawyer who has been involved in the many court battles concerning the legality of affirmative action programs on both the state and national levels while Mr. Sander has recently published a study on the ineffectiveness of affirmative action and the reforms that must be made especially concerning racial preference. These debaters will debate alongside Elise Liu '11 of the Harvard Democrats and Jeffrey Kwong '09 of the Harvard Republicans, respectively. V. Last Campaign Trip This Saturday The HRC will be taking its final campaign trip to New Hampshire a week from today (next Saturday) on December 15. This is your LAST CHANCE to get out to New Hampshire to campaign for your favorite GOP candidate before the New Hampshire primary contest takes place on January 8. Opportunities will be available to campaign for all of the major candidates, including Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Thompson, Huckabee, and Ron Paul. As with our previous trips, we'll be leaving from Harvard Square at 10am and returning to Harvard around 5pm, so you don't have to get up too early AND you can still have Saturday night to yourself. You MUST RSVP before this Friday, December 14 in order to attend, because this will be our largest campaign trip yet. Email Vice President for Campaigns and Activism Colin Motley ( cmotley@fas.harvard.edu) with your name and your candidate of choice to sign up. Don't miss out! .
