I. GENERAL BOARD MEETING WITH SPECIAL GUEST CONNIE MORELLA: 2/26/08
Join the HRC in welcoming IOP fellow Connie Morella to our general
board meeting. All are welcome to attend. Learn about her time as a
Congresswoman and Ambassador to the Organization for Economic
Cooperation and Development. She will have lots to share about her
sound economic policies and there will be an opportunity for you to
ask her questions about anything! Also come to hear about HRC news and
share your thoughts on the club!

II. IOP Study Break with David Yepsin and Ron Kaufman 2/21/08
This week, Mr. Yepsen will be bringing special guest Ron Kaufman to
discuss the nominating process from the Repblican perspective.
Kaufman is a long-time member of the Republican National Committee
from Massachusetts and a Washington, D.C. public affairs consultant.
He was one of the key architects of President George H.W. Bush's 1980
campaign presidential campaign. Most recently he was a senior
behind-the-scenes advisor to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. The
group will take place on Thursday, February 21st from 4:00-5:30 in the
FDR room at the IOP.

III. Lincoln Day Dinner
The Harvard Republican Club cordially invites you to our annual
Lincoln Day Dinner featuring Michael Steele (Former Lieutenant
Governor of Maryland, Chairman of GOPAC, and Political Pundit). The
dinner is on March 6, 2008 at 6:00pm in the Eliot Dining Hall. Please

co-sponsored by The Black Men's Forum and The Harvard Republican Club.

IV. GENERAL BOARD MEETING WITH SPECIAL GUEST DAVID YEPSEN: 3/11/08
Come hear from Iowa's reporter and columnist, David Yepsin. Mr. Yepsin
is a spring semester IOP fellow and is a Des Moines Register's
political columnist. He is a dynamic speaker and there will be time
for Q&A. Please come to also receive an update on HRC news and to
share your thoughts on the club!

V. Conservative Women's Conference

This day-long event features discussions, panels, and speeches by the
strongest female political role models in America, providing an opportunity
for moderate and conservative college women to explore the challenges facing
them today. This year's conference will cover a range of salient issues,
from women in politics to challenging social issues of the modern day hook
up culture and the failures of feminism. The conference aims to draw
attention to the fact that, contrary to common belief on college campuses,
young conservative women are strong, thoughtful, informed, and capable of
effective political organization.

VI. Republican National Convention Internship
Intern at the Republican National Convention this summer- at which,
the IOP will also be sending a funded ($3,500) Director's Intern. We
have extended our deadline to March 6th for this internship. Students
are welcome to apply on their own, as well as through our program-
info at ww.iop.harvard.edu. Please let us know if you have any
