Welcome back to another exciting semester of taekwondo! And to those of you joining us for the first time, GSAS Taekwondo is happy to have you!
Our practice schedule for the semester is currently as follows:
The mid-semester belt test will take place this Wednesday, March 13th at the QRAC. The test begins at 8pm, but please arrive at 7:30 whether you are testing or just coming to watch.
Good luck to those testing, and if you aren’t testing this time, please come along to support your teammates!
A big thanks to everyone who participated in the Kickathon this last weekend!
After some initial shuffling around of the schedule, we’ve settled on regular meeting times for curriculum and sparring classes for the semester; both the sidebar (to the right of the page) and the Practice Schedule page have been updated with the changes. Note that a group is also getting together for morning workouts in the MAC if you are interested in joining them!
Thinking you may want to give taekwondo a try? Come watch our demo this Thursday, or try one of our introductory classes!
Interested students should wear clothing suitable for sports; shoes are not needed, and we have mats to practice on. Thursday’s demo and practice will be held at the MAC (39 Holyoke St), while Monday and Saturday practices are held at the QRAC (66 Garden St). Shuttles run from Harvard Yard to the Quad for those of you who may not live nearby.
No experience is necessary; we welcome students of all levels and degrees of experience. And we promise you’ll have a lot of fun!
Happy New Year everyone – we hope you have had a good break and are getting excited to get back to school and start a new semester of taekwondo!
