MIT vs. Harvard Case Competition 2009
Jointly organized by the Harvard Graduate Consulting Club and the Consulting Club at MIT, the MIT vs. Harvard Case Competition is our flagship event this year. This multi-day event is open to all graduate students and post-docs and provides an opportunity for participants to demonstrate and share their consulting strategies and network with industry professionals. Over a one week period, randomly assigned teams of four will be working on a live case from a real business and provide a presentation of recommendations to be graded by judges from top consulting firms. There is no need to have any prior business or case experience, this is meant to be a fun and learning experience. If you have ever considered consulting, you should join this competition! We will have an event to introduce the basics of how to approach business cases before the competition. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams.
Watching the Competition Final
Come out to watch and support your school teams on the Competition Final on Friday, August 14th at 1pm at MIT. The final round presentations from top Harvard and MIT teams are open to view for all Harvard and MIT students. This will be followed by the award ceremony and receptions with teams and consultants.
Important Dates
Each team will have a short mentoring session with a consultant in the beginning of the case, and then each team will be evaluated and given feedback by one judge after one week of the competition. The top teams from Harvard and MIT will go on to the finals, but everyone is welcome to watch!
