The GSC now supports several electronic applications/nominations with Editable PDF forms for download and upload. In order to Save a completed copy your Editable PDF form to upload, you will need Adobe Acrobat Professional (The free Acrobat Reader can allow you to view, edit, and print PDF forms but not save them). With Acrobat Professional, you can Save a form in progress and finish it later, you can Upload a completed form via the GSC Website, and you can Save a completed form for your records. The required software is available for free for all Harvard Students at the FAS Software Downloads page, accessible with your Harvard PIN. Note that the software is keyserved, so you must be connected to the internet to use it.

For the software to work while you are connected to the Harvard FAS Network, you will need to download and install Harvard's KeyAccess software.
*For the software to work while you are connected to the internet from an off-campus location, you will need also to install and configure the Cisco Systems VPN Client.
We recommend that you download and install all 3 programs for maximm flexibility.
Secure Uploads
To ensure secure uploads of your application forms, certain web browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox) may require to you accept or install the secure socket layer (SSL) certificate provided by the Harvard Computer Society Server, which you can find here:
http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/ca/
To install the HCS SSL certificate go to the above URL, download the certificate, and check all the boxes when the downloaded certificate window pops up.
If you do not install it, and you try to upload a file through any of our application forms, a warning pop up window will ask if you wish to accept the certificate for this session, permanently, or never. Click "accept for this session" or "accept permanently", and you should be able to upload the application. If you are transferred to an error page after trying to upload your application, you should try installing the certificate from here.
