In an effort to help ease the uncertainty associated with securing teaching fellow (TF) positions during the early weeks of the term, when course enrollment is always in flux, the Graduate Student Council will be operating the Teaching Fellow Referral Office (TFRO) during the first two and half weeks of the fall and spring semesters of the academic year.

The program aims at an aggressive effort to improve the flow of information about TF positions among students, course heads and department administrators. The TFRO staff will, during the opening weeks of each semester, be procuring information from departments and course heads as to enrollment and TF needs. Furthermore, the TFRO will act as a referral center, referring graduate students who are on our files to course heads who may find themselves in need of TFs qualified toteach in their courses.

The TFRO will have information available about courses with sections that need to hire TF's, along with desired qualifications and the name of the course head or contact person. In addition, we will have information about GSAS students who are in search of TF positions, listed by areas of expertise and department, along with their qualifications and related experience.
