Hi! I'm Anu, a senior in Eliot House concentrating in Chemistry and Physics, and I'm serving as one of the co-directors of Habitat this year. As a volunteer for Habitat, I've gone to to Myrtle Beach, SC (Spring Break 2007), and worked as a summer volunteer with the Stuff Sale after my freshman year. This year, I'm excited to be leading a Habitat trip to Cleveland, OH. Outside of Habitat, I'm involved with another PBHA group, Harvard Emergency Medical Services, and study evolution in the BioLabs. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about Habitat or want to get more involved!
Priya Gupta, DirectorHi! I'm Priya, a junior in Currier house, and I will be serving as one of the co-directors of habitat this semester. Last year I was the secretary. I am a social anthropology concentrator and am planning to study abroad in the spring. I have gone on two week-long habitat trips (spring break 2007 to Oak Ridge, TN, and intersession 2008 to New Orleans, LA). Both trips were a lot of fun and very fulfilling, which is why I love being involved with habitat!
Julie Chan, SecretaryHi! I'm Julie -- a junior in Leverett House concentrating in economics, and currently serving as Habitat's secretary. This year, I'm psyched to be going on the spring break trip to Lexington, KY. Outside of Habitat, I'm involved with Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business and Relay for Life. Feel free to email me if you have any questions!
Donnarae Wade, Trips LiasonHey! I'm Donnarae, a junior in Dunster House, and I am concentrating in Psychology/Neuroscience. I'm serving as the Trips Liaison for Habitat's international trips this year. I've participated in a few Habitat trips before, and this year I'm going on one of our international trips to Guatemala, which I'm very excited about! Aside from this, I am involved with the Harvard Concert Commission, and Model United Nations, but Habitat is by far one of my favorite things to do on campus.
Lydia Karch, Weekend Trips CoordinatorHello! My name is Lydia, I'm a junior in Currier House, and I am the other Weekend Trips Coordinator besides Duncan! I am a social anthropology concentrator, possibly pre-med if I can survive the next 5 semesters of life, which means I am not doing anything exciting this summer, just taking physics back home in Madison, Wisconsin. I co-led one of the spring break trips to Lexington, Kentucky this year, which was absolutely AMAZING, and I highly encourage everyone reading this to go apply for spring break domestic trips as soon as they can! Guatemala may sound all foreign and exotic, but really, it's got nothing on Kentucky, home of KFC and about a billion pampered horses. Besides Habitat, I am also involved with Currier HoCo, HPIE, and Project Health Asthma Swim. I look forward to seeing all of you on a weekend build someday! (Free bagels! Plus my brilliant company at 7 in the morning on a Saturday.)
Dan Driscoll, External Relations ChairHey there! I'm Dan, a sophomore hoping to concentrate in Human Evolutionary Biology, and I am currently serving as the External Relations Chair. I am headed to Cleveland on a Harvard Habitat spring break trip! Outside of Habitat, I am involved with the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter and Small Claims Advisory Service.
Valerie Chadha, Campus Events CoordinatorHi! I'm Valerie Chadha. I'm a sophomore living in Eliot and I am currently the Campus Events Co-Coordinator. I am planning on interning for a microfinance institution over the summer and I'm currently involved with Women in Business and the South Asian Women's Collective. I'm very excited to be a part of Harvard's Habitat for Humanity chapter, despite my dismal construction skills.
Tiana Wong, Fundraising ChairHello! I'm Tiana, a senior in Dunster house concentrating in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, with a secondary in photography. I have gone on Habitat trips to New Orleans (spring break 2006) and Myrtle Beach (spring break 2007), which were both great! Returning to the Habitat board after a semester abroad in Australia, I am excited to help plan the upcoming trips and events for this year.
Irina Perjar, Summer DirectorHey! I’m currently a junior in Quincy hailing from Vale, NC and I am the summer director. My concentration is Molecular and Cellular Biology with a possible language citation in Russian, which should make for an interesting experience. This spring break, I will be going on a build-trip to Kentucky, because I think this will be my one and only chance to visit the great state of Kentucky. (I mean that!) Having put so much time and effort into Harvard Habitat as a summer volunteer last year and as the summer director this year, Habitat truly does mean a lot to me.
Chinh Vo, Technology ChairHey everyone! I'm Chinh, a senior from Houston living in Adams House. I'm concentrating in Chemistry and Physics with a secondary in Economics, and I'm really excited to get more involved with Habitat this year. I also work with the Small Claims Advisory Service and the Harvard College in Asia Program, and I research in a physics lab.
