About HARMONY After School:

HARMONY at King After School Spring 2008

HARMONY After School introduces children in local after school programs to the fundamentals of music. As these children tend to be young, most often between the ages of 4 and 10, the concepts are introduced at the most basic level with a focus on child participation and hands-on experience.

HARMONY volunteers, in groups of 3 or 4, visit after school sites in the Cambridge area once per week. The curricula are planned beforehand, and volunteers bring necessary materials, such as speakers, keyboard, small musical instruments, markers, etc.

Our current sites include the Peabody School and the Frisoli Youth Center. Check out sample lesson plans and the After School Application to the left.
