4+: 1. Harvard 4V, 7:31.7; 2. Harvard 4V/3F, 7:55.7; 3. Northeastern 3V, 8:01.2.

The sun was shining, but a strong wind from the west created some difficult racing conditions. The wind began the morning as a direct head down the course, but throughout the morning shifted slightly to a crosshead from the Cambridge shore. The course was very choppy in the first 1200m, and was increasingly better in the last 800m of the course.

Northeastern jumped out early in the JV/3V race, but the JV pressed back through for a decisive victory. The 3V rowed a good race, but couldn't match the initial settling speed of the Northeastern JV. The Varsity race was tight the entire way, with only a few seats difference for most of the first 1000m.

Compton Cup (vs. Princeton and MIT)

Varsity: 1. Harvard, 5:53.6; 2. Princeton, 5:59.5.

JV: 1. Harvard, 6:00.4; 2. Princeton, 6:06.7.

3V: 1. Harvard, 6:02.3; 2. Princeton, 6:04.9; 3. Harvard 4V, 6:26.6.

Freshmen: 1. Princeton, 6:04.4; 2. Harvard, 6:06.9; 3. MIT, 6:39.1.

2nd Freshmen: 1. Harvard, 6:09.2; 2. Princeton, 6:09.6; 3. MIT, 6:44.2.

It was a beautiful morning on the Charles, the sun was out and there was a slight cross headwind from the Cambridge shore.

In the Freshmen race Princeton jumped out to an early lead and held that lead down the entire course. The 3V and JV made strong pushed throughout their races and defeated strong Princeton Crews. The Harvard Varsity pressed out early to gain an advantage on a tough Princeton crew and was able to sustain the pressure throughout the race.

Stein Cup (vs. Brown)

Varsity: 1. Harvard, 5:57.1; 2. Brown, 6:01.6.

JV: 1. Harvard, 6:05.5; 2. Brown, 6:17.6.

3V: 1. Harvard, 6:25.1; 2. Brown, 6:30.1.

Freshmen: 1. Harvard, 6:20.9; 2. Brown, 6:25.8.

2F/4V 4+: 1. Harvard 4V, 7:06.8; 2. Harvard 2F, 7:11.9; 3. Brown, 7:13.8.

Despite a good headwind, the water remained relatively calm throughout the races. There was an incoming tide for the early races, but it eventually was a slack tide for the Varsity race and maybe began to recede for the 4+ race.
The 3V started the day off with a good win over a difficult opponent. The Freshmen snagged their first win of the year by breaking away in the first 500 and pressing hard to stay out in front. The JV showed impressive power by pushing out throughout the race against a very clean Brown crew. The varsity race was close through the first 1000, but then Harvard broke away from an aggressive Brown crew in the second 1000. Overall, a good day for Harvard Crew!

Adams Cup (vs. Penn and Navy)

Varsity: 1. Harvard, 5:33.7; 2. Penn, 5:42.06; 3. Navy, 5:49.17.

JV: 1. Harvard, 5:49.30; 2. Navy, 6:01.6; 3. Penn, 6:03.4.

3V: 1. Harvard, 5:55.5; 2. Navy, 5:58.45; 3. Penn, 6:08.16.

Freshmen: 1. Navy, 5:54.0; 2. Harvard, 5:56.4; 3. Penn, 6:01.0.

2nd Freshmen: 1. Navy, 6:05.9; 2. Harvard, 6:12.91.

2nd Freshmen 4+: 1. Harvard A, 7:02; 2. Harvard B, 7:09.8; 3. Penn 2F, 7:19.4.

A strong tailwind and a slight tail current aided in some very fast racing conditions. The Varsity rowed an aggressive rhythm and pressed out throughout the race. The JV was even through the 500m and then moved away from the strong Navy and Penn crews. The 3V fell behind early, but stayed strong and pressed through the powerful Navy crew.
