Henley Royal Regatta-Henley, England
The Harvard lightweights won the National Collegiate Championship- their sixth title in the last 11 years- to earn a trip to Henley. At Henley, the lights advanced to the Quarterfinals before falling to the eventual finalists Oxford Brookes University (who outweighed the Crimson by 20 pounds per man).

Harvard's freshmen heavyweights gained their Henley entry by winning the Eastern Sprints Championship, the Crimson's second title in three seasons and 17th overall. At Henley, the oarsmen defeated Oxford Brookes by open water to win the Temple Challenge Cup. It marked Harvard's 18th all-time Henley title, which is more thatn any other U.S. university.

World Under-23 Championships- Linz, Austria
Harvard Heavyweight Captain Wayne Pommen '02 sat bow in the Canadian Eight that won the Nation's Cup Regatta. Caleb Beyers '03, another member of the Crimson Varsity, also made the boat but had to withdraw due to injury.

USRowing National Championship- Camden, NJ
Mike Skey '03 won the Elite Single and alumnus Bill Martin-Doyle '98 won the Elite Double with the Augusta Sculling Center

FISA World Rowing Championships- Lucerne, Switzerland
Two Harvard undergraduates raced on the U.S. Team at the Worlds. Mike Blomquist '03 rowed in the Coxed Four that finished sixth, while Pat Todd '02 was a member of the Lightweight Four that placed ninth. Harvard and Washington were the only universities to place two current undergraduates on the U.S. Team.

A pair of Harvard graduates also raced for the U.S. Team. Sam Brooks '01 rowed two seat in the fourth-place Eight and Olympic veteran Henry Nuzum '99 sculled for the fifth-place Quad.

Harvard Lightweight Coach Charlie Butt coached both the U.S. Lightweight and Heavyweight single scullers. Both athletes trained out of Harvard's Newell Boathouse for a portion of the year.

FISA World Junior Rowing Championships- Duisburg, Germany
Malcolm Howard '05 won a bronze medal in the Canadian Four and Ben Maas '05 raced in the Canadian Double. Freshman Heavyweight Coach Bill Manning coached the US Eight that won the B Final, finishing seventh overall in the field of 13.

ALSO
+Current undergraduated also won events in the Canada Cup Games, US Club Nationals, and Canadian Henley.
+Harvard also sent crews to international "friendship" regattas in Taiwan, Korea, & China were they successfully raced teams from Asia, Australia, and England.
