Other Rowing Opportunities at Weld Boathouse

Besides being the home of Radcliffe rowing, Weld Boathouse (on the Cambridge side of the river at the intersection of JFK St. and Memorial Dr.) also hosts the sculling and house crew programs.

All Harvard students and faculty with a valid Harvard I.D. are invited to use Weld's assortment of sculls (one-person rowing shells). Novices are welcomed; instruction is given on the docks. Weld Boathouse is open for sculling from April to November. The hours are Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm. No boats are allowed out 45 minutes prior to closing. Call 5-2226 (the boathouse number) for more information.

For the undergraduate houses (and Dudley House for graduates), Weld hosts the intramural crew program, which pits boats from each of the residential houses against one another in a series of races. Signups and practices generally begin in early spring; contact your house IM reps for more information.
