Editor's Note The Harvard Book Review opens the New Year with an uncommonly long issue. Our reviews and features discuss topics from ecology to quantum physics, from the Italian Renaissance to puppets and contemporary poetry translations. As the new term begins, the current executives hand over their tasks to a new head editorial board. It is my great pleasure to welcome David Rice, Caroline Bleeke, and Justin Keenan as our new Editor-in-Chief, Publisher, and Managing Editor triumvirate. Liza Flum will remain an Executive Editor for another year; she will be joined by two new wonderful Editors, Jacob McNulty and Carolyn Gaebler. The retiring executive board leaves the magazine in their hands with delight and full confidence. We take this opportunity to thank the entire staff of the Harvard Book Review for the dedication and resourcefulness they have shown in the past year. We are also grateful for the continued support and advice of our faculty and student readers . |
