Introduction
Harvard
Chinese Basketball Club (HCBC) was founded in the Autumn of 2000 by about
10 basketball fans of Harvard University. Most of our current members are
either postdoctoral fellows or graduate students of the school. We play almost
every weekend in the basketball courts of the Harvard Malkin Athletic Center
(MAC).
In
the past, HCBC has organized and participated in quite a few formal and informal
basketball games. In Oct. 2001, we competed in the 2001 Chinese North America
Sports Exchange Association Cup Basketball Tournament, and won the Memorial
Cup.

The Directions
to Malkin Athletic Center:
Malkin Athletic
Center
The Malkin Athletic
Center is located at the
south-west corner of Holyoke and Winthrop, two blocks south of the Harvard
Square T station.
From the T, turn left after the exit and walk down JFK Ave to Winthrop (crossing
Mt. Auburn), turn left, cross Dunster, right at Holyoke.
If driving north on JFK (either from Memorial Drive or Storrow Drive), go
straight past traffic lights at Elliot St. (there is a parking garage on Elliot
if you turn left at this light), past Winthrop, turn right at Mt.Auburn, cross
blinking yellow just past Dunster, and right onto Holyoke.
If driving west
on Mass Ave (from Central Square), stay in the left lane, turn left on Dunster
immediately after the Holyoke Center Au Bon Pain and immediately before the
road curves right, left again on Mt.Auburn (which is a one-way anyway), past
the blinking yellow lights and right immediately onto Holyoke.
If driving south/east on Mass Ave (from Porter Square), stay in the middle
lanes as you pass Cambridge Common, and switch to the left lane as you go
past the Coop on the right and the T and Out-of-Town News on the left. The
road bends right into Brattle St. Turn left onto Mt.Auburn, cross traffic
light at JFK Ave., blinking yellow just past Dunster, and right onto Holyoke.
