Contours of Asia

The Harvard East Asia Society draws its membership from all those in the Harvard community whose academic interests focus upon East Asia. Our student-run, non-profit conference is the largest of its kind in North America. Previous participants have described the HEAS Graduate Student Conference as an invaluable opportunity to receive feedback on their research from distinguished professors and to exchange ideas with students around the world who share their research areas and interests. This year, in celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Harvard East Asia Society Conference, the coordinators are delighted to organize and present a memorable forum as well as providing various social settings to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue in the field of East Asian Studies.
