Founded in 1977, Harvard Korea Society (HKS) is a non-profit umbrella organization that encompasses all ten of the Harvard Graduate Schools (Arts & Science, Business, Dental, Design, Divinity, Education, Government, Law, Medicine, and Public Health). Historically, HKS was aimed at catering to the Korean student population at Harvard, by bringing together the varied academic interests of the membership by building on a common heritage. However, throughout the years, HKS has expanded its goals to serve as the unified representative Korean graduate student body of Harvard. It presently strives to create bridges not only between our members in various schools of study but between cultural groups within the Harvard community, and continues to create connections and networks out to both the local and global communities.
