Co-hosted by AISEC Universiti Putra Malaysia and in cooperation with the Institute of Strategic and International Studies, HPAIR 1998 convened its seventh annual conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a major regional center for international trade and affairs. It sought to look beyond Asia's economic growth and to address the myriad of changes that accompany the "Asian Miracle." In workshops, seminars, and round-table discussion, delegates debated issues of economic policy, economic and regional security, and corruption and economic development.
