Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew's Harvard Visit

Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew visited Harvard University in October 2000 and delivered a lecture at the Kennedy School of Government co-sponsored by the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations. The lecture was entitled "For Third World Leaders: Hope or Despair?" and addressed the value of personal leadership in economic and social development. After the lecture, Minister Lee engaged in discussion with professors and students, and attended a formal dinner. Below are a few photographs from the event..

Apart from lessons in leadership, Minister Lee also discussed his latest book "From Third World to First," which is a personal history of Singapore from 1965 to the present. Professor Ezra Vogel, Chairman of the Board of Advisors of HPAIR reviewed Minister Lee's book in the Straits Times.
