39 new AH1N1 cases registered this weekend in Romania

39 confirmed new AH1N1 cases were registered in Romania in the last 24 hours, Romanian Health ministry informs. The total number of cases confirmed in our country reached 882.

Designated PM Liviu Negoita will present on Monday the list with his new Cabinet. At the government, Hungarian Democrat leader Marko Bela finished negotiations with the designated PM. On Sunday, both Liberals and Social Democrats refused to attend negotiations with Negoita. Democrat Liberals, together with the Independent group and the minority group in the Parliament were the only ones to attend negotiations.

He asserted that he wished to create a national union Government and that the negotiations will last for three days. On Monday, the list featuring the new Cabinet will be submitted to the Parliament.

EC Official: Romania will get the next loan instalment from the European Commission in 2010

Romania will receive the next instalment from the loan contracted with the European Commission, but only next year. The instalment is worth one billion euros. The EC evaluation chief in Romania Elena Flores declared on Friday that the next instalment could be approved by the Commission in December, but the money will only be forwarded to Romania in 2010, because the EU needs to attract the money on the market, Romanian press agency Mediafax reads.

President Traian Basescu announced that the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank are concluding their mission in Romania on Friday, November 6, without making their evaluation and "conditioning their return on the formation of a legal Government. In the absence of a legal Government, discussions cannot resume. Their coming was possible due to my specific request and my hope that the previous proposed Government would be voted".

Romanian Central Bank (BNR) governor Mugur Isarescu declared on Friday that he was expecting the next IMF instalment from the stand-by loan to face delays. This item of information was also confirmed by sources close to the IMF delegation and Romanian officials, quoted by Romanian press agencies NewsIn and Mediafax. According to them, the decision regarding the instalment will be taken in January next year, after a new evaluation mission.

Liviu Negoita has been designated PM on Friday by president Traian Basescu, after the last consultations with the political parties. Liviu Negoita is member of the Liberal-Democratic Party (PD-L) and mayor of Bucharest's third sector. He announced that he would start the negotiations for the formation of a majority that would support the future coalition government he'll be forming.

The sums regard unreturned VAT or delays in subventions, according to patronages' representatives. They estimate that the number of unemployed will increase by 100,000 more people.
