Constitution


Article 1
The name of the society is Harvard Romanian Association (HRA).

Article 2
The administrative board of the HRA is constituted as follows:
• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Social and Cultural Affairs Chair

Article 3
a. Elections take place yearly on March 10th.
b. Every undergraduate member of the association is entitled to run for any of the positions on the administrative board, indiscriminate of ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
c. The candidates are elected by a simple majority of votes.
d. The election is declared valid if at least two thirds of the members are present, including the acting administrative board.
e. The voting process is secret.
f. All members of the HRA have the right to vote in the election.

Article 4
Membership to HRA is open to anyone affiliated with Harvard University and is free of charge.

Article 5
The goal of the HRA is to promote Romanian culture and language within the scope of a global democratic multicultural society.

Article 6
a. The present Constitution has been voted on May 10th, 2006 unanimously by the members of the HRA.
b. This Constitution is subject to amendments voted by at least two thirds of the voting members.
c. The amendments are declared valid if at least two thirds of the members are present, including the administrative board.
