The Cultural Committee strives to showcase the diversity of Asian American culture. Each fall, the committee organizes Feast- A Cultural Extravaganza, which recognizes and celebrates the different cultures represented by the Asian ethnic organizations on campus, and in the spring, the committee organizes the Asian American Association Coffeehouse, an event that celebrates the visual, musical and dramatic talents of Asian American artists on campus. The cultural committee also highlights trends in the evolving Asian American culture with workshops such as The Culinary Revolution, which focuses on contributions Asian American chefs have made to contemporary cuisine.

Hey Everyone!

We are your new cultural chairs for 2008, Tiffany Chi and Joan Fang! We are both extremely excited to be working on cultural this year, especially after a fabulous experience as freshman representatives. Cultural has one huge event in the spring called Coffeehouse where everyone on campus gets together to watch as Asian Americans display their abilities in all different aspects of media, from singing, to spoken word, to exciting new performances this year. We do plenty of other things besides planning for Coffehouse though, from taking members of AAA out to karaoke and holding movie screenings for amazing charity causes.
