Social Committee

The Social Committee is tasked with building Asian American community on campus through various social events, mixers, etc. Each fall, the Social Committee coordinates with four other Boston Area Schools (MIT, Tufts, BC, Wellesley) to through an intercollegiate formal called Utopia. Another signature social event is the annual Screw Your Roommate Dance, which features electronic blind dates. Recently, social has been reaching outward not only to Harvard Asians, but to the entire Boston Asian collegiate community in an effort to help people bond, share, and make friends. The strength of AAA has always been grounded in our community and Social Committee works hard to maintain that strength in community.

Hey everyone,

I see you. Yes, you. Maybe you're that freshman who's been coming to a few AAA events here and there but still aren't involved in any way. Maybe you're that senior who's reflecting on four years at Harvard and regretting not giving back to the community more.

Either way, you've probably been to an event that was at one point the brainchild of AAA's Social Committee. These parties, mixers, and study breaks don't just fall out of the air like Ben Bernanke's dollar bills falling from a helicopter. They take work, but lots of fun work. Work with cool people like Jessica Chan and James Fish. YOU could help plan the next enormous dance party. YOU could help make sure prefrosh know who we are on campus. YOU could help try and get UHS to give us free massages at the next study break.

So dont be a AAA-list lurker. Come to Social Committee meetings. JChan will bring cookies, and James will give you compliments on your stunning bod and new 'do.

Social Committee Meetings: Mondays at 6 PM in Pfoho
