Harvard-Radcliffe ChorusFounded in 1979, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus (HRC) comprises approximately 180 student, faculty, staff, and community singers and performs two concerts of major choral-orchestral works each season in Sanders Theatre at Harvard University. The repertory of the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus encompasses music from the eighteenth century to the present. This winter, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus will collaborate with the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston to perform parts 1–3 of Johann Sebastian Bach’s festive Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248). In the spring, the Chorus will present Franz Schubert’s powerful and rarely performed Mass in A-flat (D 678) and motets of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms. Rehearsals are held Monday (fall semester) or Wednesday (spring semester) evenings from 7 to 10 pm in Lowell Lecture Hall at Harvard University and begin in mid-September. Now celebrating its 32nd season, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus and its conductor, Dr. Kevin Leong, welcome you to another exciting year of fine music-making. 2011–201232nd Season
