HRCM:
An Introduction

The Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, a student-run organization at Harvard College, is a select ensemble of musicians and students dedicated to the highest caliber of both a cappella and choral-orchestral masterworks performances. Spanning nearly five octaves and six centuries, our diverse repertoire has delighted audiences around the world, most recently in Australia, where the Collegium spent its 35th anniversary tour.

Singers in HRCM are also given the opportunity to perform with our two subset ensembles, the Chamber Singers, a smaller ensemble that specializes in Renaissance works, and the Collegium Underground, focusing on a cappella classics.

Collegium Underground

The Collegium Underground is a brand new subset of the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum. Looking to branch out from Collegium's typical repertoire, the Underground sings a fun, eclectic mix ranging from jazz standards and oldies to the best songs currently on the radio. As a subset of HRCM, the Underground is a unique opportunity for singers with dual interests in choral and contemporary a cappella music to experience both. The Underground regularly performs on campus throughout the year, but also tours the greater Boston area, entertaining law firms, corporations, high schools, and anyone else within earshot. Additionally, the Underground plans to tour domestically each year with Collegium's other subset, the Chamber Singers. This year, junior Davone Tines will conduct the group.

If you have any questions or comments, or would like to contract the Underground for an office party or function, please email manager Alison Ravenscraft at underground@hrcm.net.
