About HSAC
HSAC is a Harvard student organization dedicated to quantitative analysis of sports strategy and management. This blog is student-run and features the original contributions of Harvard undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and affiliates.
The Collective meets every Wednesday at 7:30 PM in the Winthrop House Owen Room. Meetings include a discussion of current projects and events that the group is organizing or participating in.

HSAC Officers
Alex Ahmed
Co-President
Alex is a junior Applied Mathematics and Biology concentrator in Winthrop House. His main interests with the club are improving baseball strategy, including pitch counts, managerial decision-making, and ideal use of players. He is also interested in doing research on college sports, mainly basketball and baseball. He has worked on research projects with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Major League Baseball.
Xander Marcus
Co-President
Xander is a senior in Adams House concentrating in Economics.
Jason Rosenfeld
Secretary
Jason is a sophomore living in Currier House. He is most interested in basketball, football and baseball, and has worked as an intern with the Houston Rockets. He is planning to major in Statistics.
Tianyi Zhu
Treasurer
Tianyi is a Applied Math and Computer Science concentrator at Harvard. His main interest is applying computer simulation to sports.
Carl Morris
Faculty
Dr. Morris is a Professor in the Statistics Department at Harvard. He has done pioneering work in the theory of statistics as applied to sports and competition, especially in baseball and tennis.
