Details I worked at WARDA, which specializes in rice breeding and participatory research with West African farmers to develop new varieties and planting techniques. WARDA has facilities for molecular biology, soil chemistry, entomology, and traditional and cellular breeding.  Other work involves participatory research, gathering farmer input for variety selection and farming technique optimization and dissemination.  WARDA is currently in flux due to the political situation in Cote d'Ivoire.
