International Jazz Day
April 30, 2014
International Jazz Day is a yearly event held on April 30th. The Day was proclaimed during the UNESCO General Conference in November 2011. The first annual International Jazz Day was kicked off in 2012 in Paris by UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock. UNESCO partners with the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz.
To celebrate we have posted the Harvard Jazz Band performing Chameleon composed by Herbie Hancock and arranged by Don Braden.
