THE TOURNAMENT >> DETAILS / FAQ
REGISTRATION FEE ::
US $35 for team and individual registration, $30 for team only, and $25 for individual only.
The registration fee
allows for participation in the tournament and does not cover expenses such
as food, parking, etc. A late registration fee of $5 per person is imposed for those who register
online or submit their registration after the deadline of March
21, 2009.
In cases
where a refund is necessary (eg. if certain members of a team
cannot participate due to unforeseen circumstances, etc.) the HRKC may only be able to return a maximum of half the paid amount, as all the funds received go directly into preparation for the event.

Take the Red Line (Alewife) to Harvard Station.
From Harvard Station, walk down Mass Ave towards Dunster Street. Turn right at Holyoke Street (street between the Yenching restaurant) and go straight down until you get to 39 Holyoke Street.
A map of the Cambridge area is available here.
The Harvard University web site has a useful interactive map of the Cambridge area.

PARKING ::
Those who have come to Boston before with cars may already know how difficult it is to find parking space. The university provides parking permits for $15 per vehicle, for use during the entire weekend of the Shoryuhai. The parking space provided will be in the vicinity of the athletics facility and a short walk from the dormitories where most participants will be staying.
If you require a parking permit, please let HRKC know in the registration or via email, and be sure to include the number of vehicles you will be bringing. The permits will be given to you upon arrival.
The University Operations Services web site also offers maps and parking information for visitors.

LODGING ::
Participants requesting housing will be grouped and assigned to a HRKC member, in whose dormitory room they shall stay during the weekend of the tournament.
Because the HRKC has limited members, free lodging is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, depending on how soon online registration forms are submitted. Extra priority, however, is given to participants from undergraduate teams. HRKC cannot provide housing to non-participants such as guests.
Please do not expect roomy or otherwise luxurious accommodations, and note
that teams may be split up in the room assignment process. If the HRKC is
unable to offer your team lodging, you will be notified promptly. If you are assigned rooming, then you will be given the contact information of a HRKC member, and both parties should get in touch with each other as soon as possible to arrange times, etc.
