About LU

Mission Statement:

Latinas Unidas shall be the materialization of a vision: the Unification of Harvard College students who have a passion for and/or interest in the lives of Latina women. Latinas Unidas de Harvard shall not only provide a forum for intellectual discussion, but also a channel for efforts aimed towards promoting women of Latin American heritage. We believe that our individual backgrounds, while diverse combine to form a strong and unique culture- that of the celebrated Latinas. We shall foster this strength and unity through engaging in social activities, political events and academic forums. We believe and embrace the important responsibility to the Latin American community that being a Harvard student creates and therefore Latinas Unidas de Harvard shall emphasize networking with Latina women within our campus and throughout the nation- for though we are few in numbers, we have infinite strength.
