Welcome to the LinG Website
The Harvard College Linguistics Group is a student-run organization at Harvard College for undergraduate linguistics concentrators, potential linguistics concentrators, and regular undergrads interested in linguistics who have somehow failed to concentrate in our department.
Each spring, LinG hosts a colloquium at Harvard for undergraduates from schools around the globe. Thanks to all who participated in the Sixth Annual Harvard Undergraduate Linguistics Colloquium on April 19-20, and especially to Professor Jay Jasanoff for his fascinating keynote address on the origins of the Latin gerundive. This year's undergraduate research covered a wide range of topics, including work in phonology, morphology, syntax, discourse analysis, language acquisition, philology, computational modeling, and language impairment. We had a great weekend, and enjoyed seeing the vibrant community of undergraduate linguists in action!
