LinG Election Results, 2/5/03

Hi all--

Thanks to everyone who made it to last night's meeting--we had a pretty
good turnout, plus a lot of great ideas about things to do at our
conference and later on in the semester.  I would like to offer
congratulations to the newly elected members of the LinG Executive Board
for 2003:

President--Nassira Nicola
Vice President [Internal]--Blake Boulerice
Vice President [External]--Bridget Samuels
Treasurer--Gabriel Carroll
Secretary--Laura Openshaw

On behalf of the outgoing executive committee, I wish you all the best in
guiding LinG through the upcoming year.  Congratulations and good luck!
Also, it seems appropriate to me to take this occasion to express our
appreciation to our (now-retired) president Maria, who was really the
founding force behind LinG and who has been invaluable in running the
organization since its inception.  Thanks, Maria, and best wishes to you
in whatever you do after Harvard Linguistics!
