Welcome to the HOC website! We're excited that you're checking it out!
Sign up for the Alumni Email List if you're interested in receiving occasional updates about the goings on of the Outing Club.
We're quite interested in learning more about the history of the club, so we'd also really appreciate an email or two from you about what the club was like while you were involved. Feel free to email us with any stories you have from your days with the HOC.
Of course, if you're still in the Boston area or will be visiting the Boston area, we would thrilled to talk to you in person as well. Just shoot us an email and then drop by our office at 15 Linden St!
Finally, if you have any outdoor gear that you're no longer using, consider donating it to the Outing Club! We're always looking for more gear, whether it's fleece layers, packs, sleeping bags, pads, maps, trail guides, helicopters, or anything else you might have.
This is a call for stories from our Alumni all over. We are really interesting the history of the club, and the exciting stuff YOU GUYS did while you were a part of it.
So send us stories!!
Look for our newsletter in your mailbox soon. Here's a PDF version.
Bradford Washburn was an incredible outdoorsman who built The Harvard Cabin, but also did LOTS of other stuff.
See this wikipedia article on him if you want to be super impressed!
They tell me he's actually superman.
But I don't think he is. Philip Kreycik is a recent graduate of the
Outing Club. After getting the club's act together significantly in
2006, he graduated from Harvard in reality, but never in spirit. These
days, he runs the Resource Efficiency Program, and lives across the
Street as an elf in Adams.
