Radcliffe Pitches A Cappella

Safia Ahmed
Hometown: Washington D.C.
Class: 2012
House: Pforzheimer

Safia loves to sing those low notes...being an A2 pretty much makes her life. Other things that make her life include cartoons (like Chowder and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends), fantasy novels, chocolate, and kazoos. When she's not hanging out with the other Pitches, you will proably find her wandering through Harvard Square listening to music through really clunky headphones...

Christine Bendorf
2010 Bermuda Tour Manager
Hometown: Albany, NY
Class: 2010
House: Quincy

Christine is a Soprano 1 completing a Special Concentration in Dramatic Literature and Practice. She absolutely adores macaroni and cheese. In fact, if she never ate anything but macaroni and cheese for the rest of her life, she would be very content. She loves watching old movies, reading romance novels, adoring her cats, shopping for shoes, and of course, singing. She loves pastel colors and is super excited about our Bermuda Spring Tour 2010!

Haley Bennett

Hometown: Maine
Class: 2013
Dorm: Massachusetts Hall

Haley is a freshman sop2 and is so excited to be a Pitch baby! Her concentration is TBD but she hopes to go into Education and plans to pursue a secondary in Dramatic Arts. When she is not singing, she can be found teaching kids to dance with CityStep or performing in random musicals. She enjoys smiling, harmonizing, and spending time with her wonderful friends.

Elena Butler
Co-Music Director

Hometown: San Francisco, CA
Class: 2010
House: Winthrop

Elena is an A2 concentrating in Applied Math with Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. When she is not singing with the Pitches, Elena sings with the Harvard University Choir and is the Treasurer of the Dunster House Opera. She is also the Comptroller of the Harvard Model United Nations Conference, and a tutor for Veritas Tutors. For her senior thesis, she is working in the Davis Lab to build a phylogeny of the American pitcher plants. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, watching her friends perform, and studying Bahasa Malaysia.

Kim Farrell

Hometown: Marlborough, MA
Class: 2011
House: Adams

Kim is a junior Latin American Studies Concentrator with a secondary in Government. She loves singing with the Pitches, hanging out with her DG sisters, planning campus-wide events with the College Events Board, and is currently starting a UNICEF organization on campus. When she is not with these groups, she enjoys eating guacamole, listening to rap music (especially Lil Wayne), dancing and speaking foreign languages. She is currently pursuing fluency in Spanish and Portuguese.

Chris Gummerson
Co-Music Director

Hometown: Baltimore, MD
Class: 2012
House: Pforzheimer

Chris is a sophomore A2 who loves a good bass line. She also loves English, which is why she's concentrating in it. Other loves include: french cheese, HRDC, golden retrievers, and Dante Alighieri. Most of all, Chris is thrilled to be returning to the Pitches for a second year and loves to sing fabulous music with fabulous ladies!

Ashton Howard

Hometown: Lincolntown, NC
Class: 2011
House: Eliot

Ashton likes to sing.

Alice Laramore
President

Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
Class: 2011
House: Pfoho

Alice is a Hist and Lit concentrator in Pforzheimer House. Along with singing Alto 1 in the Pitches, she mentors strong girls in Chinatown and works at the Harvard College Women's Center. Alice worships Athena, green apples, folk music, Gilmore Girls, and playing in the rain, and she goes to as many of the musical theater performances on campus as possible.

Miriam Muscarella
Stage Manager

Hometown: Paducah, KY
Class: 2012
House: Pforzheimer

Miriam is a Women, Gender, and Sexuality & Statistics joint concentrator. She is thrilled to be singing Soprano 2 in the Pitches this year and also sings in the University Choir. She believes that music is the language of the soul and will harmonize with anything she hears, especially her favorite techno. She is borderline obsessed with making chocolate souffle (even though she is vegan) and throwing themed parties. She also adores her dog, Millie. If you really want the key to this Kentucky girl's heart, sing her some James Taylor and make her a campfire. If you are lucky, she may even sing you some of her favorite lullabies (her preferred music genre).

Jennie Peterson
Business Manager

Hometown: Sandy, UT
Class: 2010
House: Cabot

Jennie is a senior alto 1 concentrating in Environmental Science and Public Policy. Her music favorites include jazz and all the Pitch songs, country, and reggae. If she's not singing, there's a good chance Jennie is on a boat on the Charles River, pulling an oar for Harvard's varsity rowing team, Radcliffe Crew. Her other interests include surfing in Hawaii, skiing in Utah, and doing ranchwork in Wyoming.

Katie Schick
2010 Bermuda Tour Manager
Hometown: San Francisco, CA
Class: 2010
House: Quincy

Katie is a senior sop 1, jointly concentrating in English and Music. A California girl at heart, she loves the sunshine and enjoys picnicking on the Charles when the Cambridge weather behaves itself. In her other extracurricular time, Katie sings with the Choral Fellows of the University Choir, the Gilbert & Sullivan Players, and Dunster House Opera, and also serves on their boards. She is addicted to Broadway musicals and Berryline, watches way too many television shows (to compensate for not having cable as a child), and adores Audrey Hepburn movies, good novels, and cups of tea.

Annie Stone
2010 World Tour Manager

Hometown: Harrisburg, PA
Class: 2010
House: Kirkland

Annie is a naturally blonde alto II, a fact which never fails to confuse. She is currently writing a Comparative Literature thesis about girlhood in the Chronicles of Narnia. When she isn't studying French and German or reading about fauns and dryads, she spends her time raising money for the Radcliffe Pitches, the Radcliffe Institute, and anything else that is called "Radcliffe" and needs a hand. She loves sushi, pad thai, Jane Austen, rock musicals, and people who (like her) randomly burst into song for no apparent reason.

Catie Williams

Hometown:
Class: 2013
Dorm: Apley Court

Catie is a freshman first soprano, interested in pursuing a Social Studies concentration. When she's not rehearsing with the Pitches or Collegium Musicum, she also enjoys working with the political groups on campus such as the Harvard Democrats and the IOP, or writing for the Harvard Political Review. Catie also loves cooking various desserts (and then eating them), and playing bananagrams with her friends.
