Surgery Day 2008, 5/3/08
HPS collaborates with the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Shapiro Simulations and Skills Center. Members are not only given the opportunity to suture wounds on artificial tissue and insert central line catheters on the trainers used by medical students and residents, but also learn the science behind electrolyte/fluid imbalance and experience the operating room virtually on laparoscopic skills simulators!
