Metro Briefing New York: Manhattan: Graduates Protest Harvard Wages

About 65 recent graduates of Harvard University staged a sit-in and protest at the Harvard Club of New York yesterday to show solidarity with undergraduate protesters who want higher wages for workers at the university. Some protesters occupied the lobby of the club, on 44th Street near Fifth Avenue, for an hour, while a larger group outdoors chanted and distributed fliers. At Harvard, about 30 students have been conducting a sit-in for about two weeks, calling for a minimum hourly wage of $10.25 for the lowest-paid workers.
